‘My blessings and love…’: Days after suspension from RJD and family, Tej Pratap congratulates brother Tejashwi for becoming father again

Patna: Days after Rashtriya Jata Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Yadav expelled his elder son Tej Pratap Yadav from the party and family over a Facebook post, the latter took to social media on Tuesday to congratulate younger brother Tejashwi for becoming a father again.

Earlier in the day, the former Bihar Deputy CM took to X to announce the birth of his second child. His first child was born in May 2023. Taking to X, Tej Pratap wrote, “With the infinite grace and blessings of Shri Banke Bihari, I got the good fortune of becoming uncle on the arrival of the newborn baby. Hearty congratulations and best wishes to younger brothers Tejaswi Prasad Yadav and Raj Shri Yadav. My affectionate blessings and love to the nephew.

“Good Morning! The wait is finally over! So grateful, blessed, and pleased to announce the arrival of our little boy. Jai Hanuman!,” Tejaswi Yadav took to X to announce the birth of his child, a son. Tejashwi got married to his long-time friend Rachel Godinho (known as Rajshree Yadav after marriage) in 2021 in a low-key affair. Both Tejashwi and his wife had earlier studied together at DPS school in New Delhi’s RK Puram locality.

Tej Pratap was suspended from the party family

Earlier on Sunday, Lalu Yadav announced the suspension of Tej Pratap Yadav from the party for six years. The RJD supremo Lalu also declared that Tej Pratap has been removed from the Yadav family.

In a post on X, the RJD supremo noted “irresponsible behaviour” and conduct that goes against the values of the party and family as reasons for the expulsion. “Ignoring moral values in personal life weakens our collective struggle for social justice,” Lalu wrote. He added,” The activities, public conduct, and irresponsible behaviour of the eldest son are not under our family values and traditions.”

“Due to the above circumstances, I remove him from the party and family. From now on, he will not have any role of any kind in the party and family. He is expelled from the party for six years,” Lalu further wrote on his X handle.
