Drugs worth Rs 68.41 crore were seized and three people arrested in two separate operations in Mizoram. Assam Rifles gave this information.
Acting on a tip-off, Assam Rifles personnel raided Bualpui village in Siaha district and seized 225 grams of narcotic substance.
Assam Rifles informed that the estimated value of the narcotics seized on Wednesday is Rs 1.75 crore. Two people have been arrested in this regard.
In another operation on Thursday, troops seized 20 packets of methamphetamine pills weighing 22.2 kg with an estimated street value of Rs 66.66 crore from Zokhawthar-Melbuk Road in Champhai district. Handed over to Excise and Narcotics Department for legal proceedings. Assam Rifles said that one person has been arrested in this case.
