CM Dhami took initiatives to hold the conference after his interaction with migrant Uttrakhandi

Earlier, chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami himself took the initiative to connect the state with the migrant Uttrakhandi.  CM Dhami was highly impressed with the migrant Uttrakhandies who had given him a warm welcome during his visit to different countries in connection with the Investor Summit organized in the state in December 2023. The migrant Uttrakhandi had welcomed CM Dhami with the customs and traditions of the hill state. During his foreign tour, CM Dhami had held talks with migrant Uttrakhandi.

State government set up “Migrant Uttarakhandi Cell”

After his return from the foreign tour, CM Dhami had taken a decision to constitute a “Migrant Uttarakhandi Cell” to link the migrant Uttrakhandi with the state government. Subsequently, he directed the officials concerned to organize an International Migrant Uttarakhandi Conference. Earlier on November 17, a similar conference was organized in Dehradun inviting the Uttrakhandi living in different states of the country.

The government wants to use the expertise of migrant Uttrakhandi to develop the state

Chief minister Dhami said that the people, who have migrated to other countries from Uttarakhand, are earning names in every field. “They have vast experience in knowledge, science, technology and entrepreneurship. The government wants the migrants to use this experience to develop their state and village as well. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been constantly inspiring migrants to contribute to the development of their states concerned,” he said in a press release.
