‘Mayday, Mayday, no power, no thrust’: Air India pilot’s last message to Ahmedabad ATC emerges

Ahmedabad: Two days after the deadly Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad locality, an audio message has emerged revealing the pilots final message to the Air Traffic Control (ATC). As per reports, at least 274 people have lost their lives, including 241 people onboard. Among those dead were 12 crew members, including two pilots.

Senior pilot Captain Sumit Sabharwal sent a distress call to the Ahmedabad ATC moments before the crash. The pilot can be heard saying in the audio, “MAYDAY… MAYDAY… MAYDAY… NO POWER… NO THRUST… GOING DOWN…”
