Key Highlights from Union Minister Shri Kishan Reddy’s Address at Begumpet Railway Station during the Inauguration of Amrit Bharat Stations

● Begumpet Railway Station, redeveloped under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, will be operated entirely by women employees.
● In this year’s Railway budget – ₹5,337 crores has been allocated to Telangana. Further, works worth ₹42,219 crore are currently ongoing.
● The Prime Minister has sanctioned the construction of Komuravelli Railway Station. This station will be dedicated to Komuravelli Mallanna devotees during this year’s Dussehra
● Due to the negligence of the previous government, MMTS Phase–2 was delayed by 6–7 years.
● Even without any support from the state government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, MMTS Phase–2 construction works were launched with an outlay of approximately ₹1,000 crore.

Union Minister of Coal and Mines G Kishan Reddy participated in the inauguration program of 103 Amrit Bharat Stations nationwide from Begumpet Railway Station. The program was also graced by Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Minister of Roads and Buildings, Govt. of Telangana. Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 103 Amrit Bharat stations from Bikaner Railway Station in Rajasthan.

Highlights of the speech by Shri G Kishan Reddy are listed below

● It is a matter of pride that Begumpet Railway Station, redeveloped under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, will be operated entirely by women employees.
● It is a matter of pride to inaugurate this station on the 300th birth anniversary of Rajmata Ahilyabai Holkar – a testimony to India’s nari shakti
● Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the railway system across the country is rapidly developing.
● This is being done in an unparalleled manner and can not be compared to any other country in the world where over 1,300 railway stations are being redeveloped simultaneously in India.
● In Telangana too, the redevelopment of 40 railway stations is happening simultaneously.
● By 2026, these stations will be developed to reflect the local culture and heritage.
● Apart from these 40 stations, Secunderabad Railway Station in Secunderabad Lok Sabha is being developed with ₹720 crore.
● The central government has allocated ₹350 crore for the development of Nampally (Hyderabad) Railway Station.
● Next year, both these stations will be re-inaugurated.
● In this year’s Railway budget – ₹5,337 crores has been allocated to Telangana.
● Further, works worth ₹42,219 crore are ongoing.
● The Prime Minister has sanctioned the construction of Komuravelli Railway Station. Madhya Pradesh CM Shri Mohan Yadav performed the Bhoomi Pooja
● This station will be dedicated to Komuravelli Mallanna devotees during this year’s Dussehra.
● Due to the negligence of the previous government, MMTS Phase–2 was delayed by 6–7 years.
● Even without any support from the state government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, MMTS Phase–2 construction works were launched with an outlay of approximately ₹1,000 crore.
● Despite no cooperation from the state, the Centre initiated Phase–2 construction with nearly ₹1,000 crore.
● MMTS has been approved for Yadagirigutta, and works will soon begin with ₹400 crore.
● As a pilot project for railway accident prevention, the Centre introduced ‘Kavach’ technology across 617 km in Telangana.
● We have removed 121 unmanned level crossings.
● Constructed 203 new Road Under Bridges, 43 ROBs, and 45 Foot Over Bridges.
● A former minister who downplays development and criticises on Twitter should understand the facts. If necessary, I will send him a letter.
● High-speed Wi-Fi was provided at 174 stations, and 88 stalls have been set up.
● Prime Minister Modi laid the foundation stone for the Railway Manufacturing Unit in Kazipet with ₹580 crore.
● As part of nationwide railway infrastructure redevelopment, high-speed Wi-Fi is being made available at 174 railway stations in Telangana. Already, 88 stalls have been set up.
● Even though the son of a former Chief Minister criticised this Kazipet unit, he did not attend the foundation ceremony. Instead of supporting development, they confined themselves to criticising initiatives of the Union Government.
● Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in the next four years, railway development will take place in Telangana in a revolutionary manner.
● We extend our gratitude to all railway staff who participated in this development.
● Many railway projects in the state are currently facing land acquisition problems, which is slowing progress.
● Land acquisition is pending for the approach road to Charlapalli Railway Station and for the expansion of Secunderabad Railway Station.
● For these development works to progress swiftly, the state government must fully cooperate. We urge for the speedy completion of the land acquisition process.
● The central government is developing the railway network in Telangana with investments worth thousands of crores.
● On this occasion, we extend heartfelt gratitude to PM Narendra Modi Ji.
