Ram temple was consecrated in Ayodhya on 22nd January. There was a lot of politics on this matter then and it is happening even today. Congress had ‘respectfully’ declined the invitation for this programme. Suranya Aiyar, daughter of veteran Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar, not only created a ruckus on social media against the Ram Temple, but also fasted for three days in protest. The Welfare Association of the society in Jangpura where she lives has issued a notice to her on January 27.
In the notice, the RWA has not only asked Suranya to apologize but has also urged Mani Shankar Aiyar to condemn his daughter’s actions. Furthermore, the RWA urged Suranya to move out of the colony if she felt what she had done was right.
This letter has been shared by BJP leader Amit Kharkhari on social media. This letter also has the signature of RWA President Dr. Kapil Kakkar. The RWA said that it is the responsibility of the association to ensure cordial relations among all the residents of the colony. It reads, “What Suranya Iyer said through social media was certainly indecent for an educated person. Ram temple is being built after 500 years and it is being built after the 5-0 decision of the Supreme Court.”
It said Suranya’s hate speech and three-day fast in a peace-loving society was unfortunate. The RWA urged Suranya to follow the norms of a good citizen and not provoke anyone by creating hatred and distrust among the people.
