Mangaluru: Ram Sene activists barge into salon, assault staff, indulge in vandalism

Mangaluru: A group of activists from Ram Sene, a right wing Hindu group, barged into a salon in Bejai area of Mangalore in Karnataka on Thursday and assaulted staff and indulged in vandalism. The vandalism took place at Colors Unisex salon in Bejai.

Eyewitness recount that over 12 individuals, all youth associated with Ram Sene forcibly entered the Salon and attacked the staff injuring them. The vandals also damaged equipment at the salon accusing the staff of indulging in ‘unethical’ practices in the name of a unisex salon.

Ram Sene Prasad Attavar alleged that women were being given drugs in the salon and are pushed into prostitution.

Ram Sene has demanded the closure of massage parlors in the city and alleged that illegal and ‘unethical’ activities are being carried out in the guise of salon. So far, police have arrested 5 of the accused and initiate investigation into the matter.
