New Delhi: In a shocking incident, a man allegedly killed his friend after a spat over Rs 400 for liquor. The incident occurred in Shahdara district’s Anand Vihar area in Delhi. The accused has been identified as Ankit and the deceased, Nirala.

As the argument over money for liquor turned ugly, Ankit attacked Nirala with a brick and hit him hard. After committing the crime, Ankit checked himself into a de-addiction centre to avoid being suspected by the cops. But the police nabbed him after checking over 150 CCTV footage, and other evidence. During being grilled, Ankit confessed to the crime, the Delhi police said.

The Anand Vihar police of the Shahdara district claimed to have solved the “blind murder case” within 48 hours by arresting the accused, Ankit, after a series of probe.
