New Delhi: A woman from Delhi shared on X how her boyfriend waited 42 minutes for Zepto’s surge charge of Rs 80 to drop. Despite earning Rs 42 lakh per year, he chose to wait, which amused X users.

X user Anu Srivastava tweeted that she supported his decision. She praised him for being smart with his money. He is a master at being rich and staying that way, she said.

“My boyfriend with 42 LPA package waited 42 minutes for Zepto to remove the ₹80/- surge charge,” Anu wrote on X.

One user said, “Being rich is one thing, staying rich is another.” Another wrote, “During the surge, I order food from Zomato, call the delivery guy, and ask him to bring milk on the way, then tip him instead, win-win for both.”

A third user added, “It’s hard earned money. A girl dating a boy for money will not understand it.” Someone commented, “Financial planning level: CEO salary, college student spending.” Yet another added, “Sensible I’d say – especially if you know surge is expected to be removed when peak demand reduces.”
