Raipur: A heartbreaking incident unfolded in Ambikapur city of Chhattisgarh on Friday evening, where a 35-year-old man collapsed and died of a heart attack in a public area while bystanders looked on but failed to help.
The incident, which occurred at Sangam Chowk, was caught on CCTV and has since gone viral on social media.
The victim, identified as Indrajit Singh Babra alias Sunny, was a bus driver associated with Babra Bus Service. According to the information, Indrajit was starting his white scooter near Sangam Chowk around evening time. He was wearing a yellow T-shirt and a black cap.
Just as he tried to sit on his scooter, he suddenly experienced severe chest pain and collapsed on the ground.
The CCTV footage shows Indrajit falling off his scooter and writhing in pain. He struggled for a while, hoping for someone to come to his aid, but no one from the crowd around stepped forward.
People gathered and watched from a distance, but there was no immediate effort to help or even check on him. Some even walked past him without a second glance.
By the time a few people finally helped and rushed him to a nearby hospital, it was too late. Doctors declared him brought dead.
Indrajit’s sudden death has left his family shattered. His relatives say he had no previous heart conditions or symptoms, and the incident came as a complete shock.
