Maharashtra: Blast in Bhandara ordnance factory leaves five dead

Maharashtra: Blast in Bhandara ordnance factory leaves five dead

Bhandara: At least five people were killed and several others after a powerful explosion ripped apart the ordinance factory in Bhandra district of Maharashtra’s Vidarbha region on Friday.

The cause of the blast is to be ascertained yet and authorities investigate further. Rescue and medical teams have been deployed at the blast site and are looking for survivors.

The blast triggered a massive fire in the factory causing the deaths. The authorities are fearing the death toll may rise as more bodies are suspected to be retrieved from the spot.
