Prayagraj: A banner with the photograph of slained mafia don Atiq Ahmed and a poster of his three alleged killers have surfaced in the Maha Kumbh Mela site in Prayagraj. The photos have been captioned ‘Devdoot’. Both the banner and the photos of the three have gone viral on social media sites.

The banner was allegedly placed by persons who claim to be part of Rashtriya Hindu Dal. The authorities had removed several controversial posters on Thursday with messages like “darenge toh marenge” and “batenge toh katenge”.

The removal of such posters has drawn ire of seers who had been talking about the safety of those following the Sanatan Dharma. Notably, recently addressing a press confeence, Jagadguru Ramanandacharya Narendracharya of Dakshin Peeth Nanij Dha had said there was nothing wrong with such slogans. He had also claimed that the Sanatan Dharma was in danger.
