New Delhi: A stampede-like situation took place at the Maha Kumbh as scores of people turned up for a holy dip in the Ganga on the occasion of Mauni Amavasya in the wee hours of Wednesday. Several people have been reported injured in the incident. Ambulances were swiftly sent to the scene, and those affected were promptly transported to the hospital.
As the crowd pressure mounted during the Mauni Amavasya ‘Amrit Snan,’ the Mela administration was compelled to send people back.
