Lawyers thrashed by police in Ghaziabad court complex after argument with judge

Ghaziabad: A brawl broke out in Ghazaibad district court after police baton charged a group of lawyers following argument with the district judge. The incident took place when an advocate named Nahar Singh and his fellow lawyers reportedly indulged in an argument with the judge.

Following the incident, the police took the charge and dispersed the mob of lawyers. Reports suggest that some lawyers have been injured in the clash. This also led to complete disruption of work in the court. A heavy contingent of police has been deployed in the court.

The lawyers have alleged that the police have thrashed them after closing all exits and many of them have suffered injuries. The lawyers staged a protest after police thrashing and indulged in vandalism in a nearby police post and raised slogans against the judge. The judges also stopped work after the misbehaviour of the lawyers, said a report in Hindi daily Hindustan.

The video of the incident has now gone viral on social media. The video shows the police charging the lawyers with the baton and chasing them in the Ghaziabad court complex.
