New Delhi: “Violence in any form is in the interest of the society but if someone indulges in rioting and wants to do such things, then the law should deal with them strictly,” said RSS national publicity in-charge Sunil Ambekar at TV9 Network’s What India Thinks Today (WITT 2025) Global Summit on Saturday. He was replying to a query regarding Aurangzeb controversy.

“There are certain figures in the pages of history whom we regard as heroes, such as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Sambhaji Maharaj. Some people believe that they are not important, and glorify invaders, which can’t be justified. That’s why this controversy is raging and people are angry,” he pointed out.

“Society is very wise. We must believe in people’s power to deal with the situation. Don’t be over worried. This society wants to correct the wrong lookout.”

He said that the people of India have great faith in India, and the RSS has been working for the past 100 years to build this trust. New initiatives were started for those who were in need. Various efforts were made to boost the self-confidence of the people of the country. The RSS has been working towards uniting the Hindu society, and there has been no change in that.

‘We should be concerned about atrocities against minorities in Bangladesh’

Ambekar also underlined that atrocities against Hindus in Bangladesh should be a matter of grave concern for India. “We should be extremely concerned about it.”

‘No one needs to be against any language’

On the language dispute, he said that no one needs to be against any language. “The language born in India should be respected. We can accomplish our biggest tasks in our own languages. For this, both the government and society should make as many efforts as possible.”
