Kamala Harris’ ancestral village in Tamil Nadu prays for her US Presidential victory

Tiruvarur: The village of Thulasendrapuram in Tamil Nadu, India, is rallying behind Kamala Harris, the Democratic Party’s presidential nominee, as she gears up for the US presidential election today, November 5, 2024. This village holds a special significance for Kamala, as it’s the birthplace of her mother, Shyamala Gopalan, and grandfather, PV Gopalan.

Locals have put up posters and banners wishing Kamala success, and special prayers have been held at the Dharma Sastha Temple. Villagers believe Kamala’s win would bring development to their community.
