New Delhi: Rajya Sabha witnessed uproar following commotion by opposition parties after the tabling of the joint committee report on the Waqf (Amendment) Bill.

The report was presented by BJP member Medha Vishram Kulkarni, a member of the parliamentary panel. The tabling of the report triggered an uproar from opposition members, which continued as Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar attempted to read out a message from the president.

“Don’t show disrespect to the president of India…” Dhankhar remarked, urging Leader of Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge to ask opposition members to take their seats.
