However, according to sources, Congress will not be given the post of Deputy Chief Minister, as Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) has reportedly refused this demand. Two days ago, it was revealed that Hemant Soren had informed Congress that the existing system from the previous government would remain unchanged.

Rameshwar Oraon, Deepika Pandey Singh and Irfan Ansari have previously served as ministers in Hemant Soren’s last government. The party is still thinking over the fourth name, with Anup Singh and Shweta Singh being considered.

Anup Singh hails from Dhanbad and represents the Rajput community. He is the son of Rajendra Singh, a well-known figure in labor union politics. On the other hand, Shweta Singh, a member of the Youth Congress and daughter-in-law of Bokaro’s prominent leader Samaresh Singh, is also in contention.

During his visit to Delhi, Hemant Soren, accompanied by his wife Kalpana Soren, met senior Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, and Mallikarjun Kharge. The meeting, described as formal, focused on the coalition’s functioning. Soren also met Arvind Kejriwal later in the day.
