Jammu: Bus falls into ditch near Manda, driver dead; 14 passengers injured

Jammu: A bus full of passengers fell into a ditch in Manda, under Ramnagar, Jammu. The accident occurred when the bus was turning near Manda. As the driver attempted to take the turn, the bus went out of control and fell into the ditch. The bus belonged to the Flix Company and was travelling from Delhi to Katra (Vaishno Devi). Reports suggest that the driver died in the accident and many passengers were injured. Police teams have reached the spot, and a rescue operation is currently underway.

Regarding the incident, a police officer said, “We are investigating the matter. There were about 16 passengers on the bus, all of whom have been rescued. Meanwhile, efforts are ongoing to recover the bus driver.”

Meanwhile, policemen and rescue teams are working to evacuate the passengers from the damaged vehicle. The darkness is hindering the rescue operation, but the personnel are continuing their efforts with full alertness. Several injured passengers have been admitted to the hospital. About 14 passengers sustained injuries in the accident, while many others suffered minor injuries
