The former Congress president was scheduled to reach Srinagar on Monday morning in a special aircraft. From there he will fly to Surankote in a helicopter. While his Surankote is scheduled to be held at 12:30 pm, his second rally in Shalteng will be held at 2:30 pm. Rahul Gandhi will return to New Delhi after addressing the two rallies in the evening.

The Congress had earlier entered into a pre-poll alliance with Jammu and Kashmir in the Union Territory. As per the agreements between the two parties, the National Conference will contest 52 seats while Congress will contest 31. The alliance partners have left two seats uncontested.
