Jaljhulni Ekadashi celebrated with pomp and show at Akshardham Temple

The festival of Jaljhulni Ekadashi was celebrated with great pomp and show at the world famous Akshardham Temple this morning. Along with this, the immersion (visarjan) of the murti of Lord Ganesha, which was installed on the day of Ganesh Chaturthi, was also done with devotion today. On this occasion, a large number of devotees were present along with many sadhus and mahants.

Jaljhulni Utsav, also known as Jaljhulni Ekadashi, is celebrated in India, especially in North India. This festival is traditionally celebrated every year at Akshardham Temple. This festival was celebrated with great joy today in the holy presence of Sadguru Vivekasagar Swami Ji.

Here, a huge artificial lake was created in the auditorium of Akshardham, in which the murtis of Lord Akshar-Purushottam were taken for jalvihar in water. The devotees offered devotional offerings by offering five aartis and various bhogs to God.

The program started at 8 AM. The murtis of Bhagvan Swaminarayan and Ganeshji were seated in a palanquin and a procession was taken out. Today Viveksagar Swami Ji explained the essence of the festival in his discourse. The singers enthralled the audience with their devotional rendition of kirtans and bhajans.
