New Delhi: Israel has backed India in its fight against terrorism and hailed Operation Sindoor, which was launched against terror bases and infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
On Thursday, DG, Israel Ministry of Defence Maj Gen (Res) Amir Baram talked with India’s Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh. During the conversation, Amir Baram extended Israel’s full support to India’s rightful fight against terrorism. He also praised the success of Operation Sindoor.
During the talk, both the sides reaffirmed their commitment to deepen bilateral defence ties and also held discussions on how to enhance and boost strategic cooperation in the future.

Earlier on May 7, Consul General of Israel at Mumbai, Kobbi Shoshani, had also lauded ‘Operation Sindoor’. Affirming Israel’s support for India’s right to self-defence, Shoshani had pointed out that neither India nor the rest of the world will tolerate any form of terrorism, whether in West Asia or within India.
Shortly after Operation Sindoor, Israel’s Ambassador to India Reuven Azar had also expressed strong backing for India’s right to defend itself. Azar voiced his support for Operation Sindoor, adding that “terrorists should know there’s no place to hide from their heinous crimes against the innocents”. He wrote on X, “Israel supports India’s right for self defense. Terrorists should know there’s no place to hide from their heinous crimes against the innocent. #OperationSindoor.”
