IOA approves dates for National games 2025, to be held from January 28 in Uttarakhand

Dehradun: It’s now official. Indian Olympic Association (IOA) has approved the dates for holding the 38th edition of the national games from January 28 to February 14, 2025. Uttarakhand is hosting the national games 2025.

IOA has informed the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami in a letter regarding its final approval of the dates for the national games, according to a press release issued by the Public Relations Department, Uttarakhand. The IOA has also constituted five different committees to make the event successful.

Formal announcement of the dates for 38th national games

Recently, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had met the IOA president PT Usha in New Delhi and requested her to announce the date for the national games. IOA president Usha had given her approval for the proposed dates for the national games, the press release mentioned. IOA has formally announced the dates for the national games now.

IOA has constituted five committees to help with preparations

The IOA has constituted five different committees to help with preparations. The Games Technical Conduct Committee will be headed by Mrs Sunaina. This committee will ensure conduct of the national games. Madhukant Pathak will head the NSF/SOA committee. The Protocol Committee will be headed by Vitthal Shirgaonkar. Mrs Suman Kaushik is elected to head the Safeguarding committee while IAS R K Sudhanshu will head Prevention of Manipulation of Competition Committee.

CM Dhami hopes that the event will be historical and memorable

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami hoped that the national games 2025 to be hosted by the Uttarakhand will be historical as well as successful. Terming the National Games as “Khel Mahakumbha”, he further states that Uttarakhand is now completely ready for hosting the prestigious event. “The state government will leave no stone unturned to make this event memorable,” he said.

Preparation for national games 2025 in the final stage in Uttarakhand

Meanwhile, the preparation for successfully hosting the national games 2025 is almost in its final stage. A unique attraction of the national games 2025 will be horse-riding competition. This competition has returned to the national games after a gap of 14 years.
