IndiGo launches direct flights from Bhubaneswar & Srinagar to Dehradun in New Year

Dehradun: In an effort to enhance the regional connectivity and promote tourism, Indigo is going to launch direct flights from Bhubaneshwar and Srinagar to Uttarakhand’s capital Dehradun in the month of February.

Additionally, IndiGo is also expanding its reach across India by adding more direct flight routes, making it easier and more affordable for passengers to travel. The new flights will connect Dehradun directly with Bhubaneswar and Srinagar, providing convenient options for both business and leisure travelers.

Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales at IndiGo, expressed his excitement about this development. He said, “As we welcome the New Year, we are happy to introduce direct flights from Bhubaneswar to Dehradun and from Dehradun to Srinagar. By linking different cities with convenient schedules, we aim to improve regional and domestic connectivity. Our dedication to offering exclusive and efficient travel options shows our commitment to meeting the diverse needs of our travelers.” Furthermore, these new routes not only enhance connectivity but also offer more choices for travelers, making it easier for people to reach their destinations comfortably and efficiently.

Promote tourism

People of Dehradun are going to get two new direct flights as a gift for the new year. These two flights of Indigo Airlines will prove to be helpful in promoting tourism and employment in the area.

Flights will be commenced on 6 Feb

Both flights will commence service on 6 February 2025. IndiGo Airlines announced that the first direct flight from Bhubaneswar to Dehradun will start on this date, operating three days a week—Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.

Flight schedule

The flight will depart from Bhubaneswar at approximately 6:40 am and arrive at Dehradun Airport around 9:05 am. Booking for both routes has already begun.

After this initial journey, the return flight will depart from Dehradun at around 1:20 pm, reaching Bhubaneswar by 3:20 pm. Similarly, a second direct flight route between Dehradun and Srinagar will also be initiated on 6 February 2025. This flight is scheduled to take off from Dehradun at approximately 9:45 am, arriving in Srinagar at around 10:50 am.

IndiGo Airlines stated that the return flight from Srinagar Airport will depart at about 11:20 am, reaching Dehradun Airport by 12:50 pm. This route will also operate three days a week—Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. The airline has opened ticket booking for both these sectors, providing convenient travel options for passengers.
