Enforcement Directorate has raided 13 locations in Hyderabad and Mumbai to seize over Rs 9 crore in cash, gold jewellery worth Rs 8 crore, diamond jewellery worth Rs 23 crore from YS Reddy’s house in Hyderabad.

About 41 buildings were constructed on land meant for sewage treatment plant and a dumping ground as per the approved development of Vasai Virar city.

The accused builders have deceived the public by building on that land and selling it to them by fabricated approval documents.

The ED said that illegal construction of buildings on the land has been ongoing since 2009. The investigation has also revealed that some VVMC officials worked closely with the builders. Others accused in the case include Sitaram Gupta, Arun Gupta among others.

Many incriminating documents have also been seized revealing the large-scale fraud perpetrated in collaboration with VVMC officials, ED said in a statement.
