New Delhi: The Additional Directorate General of Public Information (ADG PI) on Saturday released a video about their successful operation in destroying the terror launch pads near the Line of Control during the night between May 8 and May 9. It was a suitable response to Pakistan’s attempt to attack with drone strikes in multiple cities of Jammu & Kashmir and Punjab.
The ADG PI reported that the Operation Sindoor carried out by the armed forces decimated nine terror camps located in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
“OPERATION SINDOOR Indian Army Pulverizes Terrorist Launchpads,” the ADG PI posted on X.
“As a response to Pakistan’s misadventures of attempted drone strikes on the night of 08 and 09 May 2025 in multiple cities of Jammu & Kashmir and Punjab, the #Indian Army conducted a coordinated fire assault on terrorist launchpads, pulverizing & razing them to cinders.
“The terrorist launchpads, located close to the Line of Control, were a hub for planning and executing terror attacks against Indian civilians and security forces in the past. The Indian Army’s swift and decisive action has dealt a significant blow to terrorist infrastructure and capabilities,” the ADG PI added.

India hit back Pakistan on Friday night after averting the threat the drone strikes from Pakistan in 26 locations in J&K, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Gujarat as tensions were escalated from the neighbouring nation for the second consecutive day.
The Indian government said that Pakistan used its civil airliners as a shield, endangering the lives of their passengers near the international border.
As of Saturday, some casualties have been reported from India, including the death of a senior Jammu-Kashmir government official.
