New Delhi: New Zealand beat Team India by 113 runs in the second Test match at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune and won their first-ever Test series in India. The Blackcaps scored 259 runs in the first innings after opting to bat first. Conway and Rachin Ravindra played good knocks and scored brilliant half-centuries. Washington Sundar picked 7 wickets in the first innings.

The Men in Blue bundled out for 156 in the first innings. Tim Southee removed Rohit Sharma on a duck and Santner dismissed Kohli, Gill and Sarfaraz. He picked 7 wickets while Glenn Phillips also took 2 wickets. Tom Latham batted brilliantly and amassed 86 runs off 133 balls on a tough surface. Glenn Phillips and Tom Blundell also made crucial contributions in the second innings. Washington Sundar delivered another stunning performance and took 6 wickets.

Chasing the big target of 358 runs, Santner dismissed Rohit Sharma on 8 runs but Yashasvi Jaiswal and Gill stitched a 62-run partnership for the second wicket. Santner once again troubled Indian batters in the second innings and dismissed Kohli, Jaiswal and Gill. Ravindra Jadeja tried to stitch a partnership with the lower order but Ajaz Patel and Santner picked up crucial wickets as The Men in Blue got all out for 245 runs.
