IND vs NZ 1st Test, Bengaluru weather report: Will rain force a draw on Day 5?

New Delhi: After the first day washed out, the rain has stayed away long enough from the opening Test match between India and New Zealand that all three results are possible on Day 5 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Rohit and Co. got all out for 46 runs in the first innings, five batters got out on a duck and only two batters managed to score 10+ runs. Matt Henry took five wickets, while William ORourke picked up four wickets.

New Zealand openers provided a great start to their team and stitched a 67-run partnership for the first wicket. Latham was removed by Kuldeep Yadav on 15 runs but Conway batted well and built another 75-run partnership with Will Young.

After the middle order failed to score runs, Rachin Ravindra along with Tim Southee stitched a 137-run partnership for the eighth wicket as The Blackcaps scored 402 runs in the first innings. Rachin scored an outstanding hundred and Southee also scored a fifty. Rohit and Jaiswal started well and built a 72-run partnership for the first wicket in the second innings.
