‘I have lost trust’: Malayalam actress Vincy slams film bodies over leaked complaint

New Delhi: Actress Vincy Aloshious has expressed her disappointment with film organisations. She has accused them of betraying her trust after her confidential complaint that she filed against actor Shine Tom Chacko was leaked to the media.

Vincy had previously mentioned that an actor misbehaved with her on a film set after consuming drugs. She has also confirmed that she had filed a formal complaint with the internal committee of the film, the Producers Association, and AMMA, asking for confidentiality to save the project and its crew.

The actress revealed, “I know exactly where the complaint went. I don’t know how it got leaked, but whoever did it has committed a huge betrayal of trust”. She stressed on saying that her purpose was not to name and shame the accused publicly, but to make sure responsibility without hurting others involved in the film.

Highlighting the further consequence, she further added, “When names come out, it involves not just the person but the entire production. That is why I asked for privacy.”

The actress also repeated her strong viewpoint against drug use in the industry. She earlier stated during an anti-drug movement that she would not work with known drug users. In an Instagram video, she revealed, “This decision is based on my personal experience. An actor, while mentioning the influence, misbehaved with me and a colleague. He even made improper comments when I was fixing my dress and used drugs openly on set.”

Expressing disillusionment, Vincy stated, “I have lost trust in film organisations. They failed to guard my privacy.” Her brave disclosures have sparked conversations across the industry, raising serious questions about drug abuse and the lack of responsibility within film bodies.
