In a powerful rally at Amb in Una district, Home Minister Amit Shah declared that Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) is an integral part of India, vowing that “we will take it.” This statement was a direct rebuttal to Congress’s attempts to intimidate the BJP by highlighting Pakistan’s possession of nuclear weapons.q

Appeal for BJP Victory in Himachal Pradesh

Shah called on the people to support the BJP in the upcoming by-elections for six assembly seats in Himachal Pradesh, emphasizing that only a strong government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi can combat terrorism, drive economic growth, and uplift the poor.

Strong Stance Against Terrorism

Addressing the crowd, Shah criticized Congress for claiming that the abolition of Article 370 would lead to violence. He highlighted that not a single stone was thrown in Jammu and Kashmir post the abrogation. Under Congress, Shah noted, Pakistani terrorists frequently infiltrated India to carry out attacks, a practice halted by the Modi government through decisive actions like the surgical strikes in response to the Uri and Pulwama incidents.

PM Modi: A Strong Leader Against Terrorism and Naxalism

Shah asserted that only a leader like PM Modi can eradicate terrorism and Naxalism. He urged voters to ensure BJP’s victory in the assembly byelections to witness the blooming of the BJP’s lotus symbol in Himachal.

Criticism of Congress Leadership

Mocking the Congress, Shah questioned who would lead the country if the Congress came to power. He confidently predicted a sweeping victory for PM Modi, securing over 400 seats, while restricting Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to just 40 seats.

Achievements of the Modi Government

Shah highlighted the successful implementation of ‘one rank, one pension’ by the Modi government, contrasting it with Congress’s failure to meet the ex-servicemen’s demands. He noted that Rs 1.25 lakh crore has been disbursed to pensioners so far.

Praise for Anurag Thakur

Lauding Anurag Thakur, the BJP candidate from the Hamirpur Lok Sabha seat, Shah listed his major achievements, including the Rs 10,000-crore Kiratpur-Ner Chowk project, the Rs 1,200-crore Hamirpur-Dharampur Highway, the Rs 1,000-crore Bilaspur-Leh railway line, the Rs 2,000-crore bulk drug park, and Rs 1,500 crore for AIIMS in Himachal Pradesh.

Future of Governance

Shah forecasted the formation of BJP governments both at the Centre and in Himachal Pradesh following the election results on June 4, sarcastically suggesting that Rahul Gandhi would head to Bangkok for relaxation post-election.

Corruption-Free Governance

He contrasted the clean record of PM Modi with the corruption scandals of the UPA era, asserting that there hasn’t been a single corruption allegation against Modi, reinforcing the call for his third term as Prime Minister.
