New Delhi: Former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh’s first look as Dr James Malhotra from his upcoming Tamil film, Savior, is out. He made his acting debut with special appearances in Bollywood films and debuted as a lead in the Tamil film Friendship. Now, after much-wait, his first look from his upcoming film is out and it has only fueled fans with excitement.

Harbhajan soon became a star among the Tamil audience while he was still playing for Chennai in the domestic T20 league. He often expressed his love for the Tamil language and even listed some of the Tamil poems on his social media account. He soon bagged Tamil films and made a special place in Tamil cinema.

Taking to his Instagram, former cricketer Harbhajan Singh is seen clad in a shirt, trousers, and a cap. In the film, he plays the role of a doctor named James Malhotra. In the first character poster, he can be seen wearing a stethoscope and keeping it close to his heart.

The film is touted to be a cat-and-mouse game. Savior revolves around 12 murders that take place in one night. Helmed by John Paul Raj, the film also stars JP Muthu, VTV Ganesh, and Oviya, among others.

More about Harbhajan’s film career

This is Harbhajan and John Paul Raj’s second collaboration after the Tamil film, Friendship. He starred alongside Sathish and Losliya Mariyanesan. It was released in 20221. He also made a cameo in the Tamil film Dikkilona, starring Santhanam.

Harbhajan Singh is one of India’s most successful spin bowlers. In his career, he took over 700 wickets across all formats of international cricket. He became the first Indian bowler to take a hat-trick in Test cricket and was a key player in India’s T20 World Cup win in 2008 and the 2011 ODI World Cup win. He was awarded the Padma Shri in 2009 and received the Arjun Award in 2003 for his contribution to Indian cricket.
