Merchant donates 11 diamond-studded crowns to Ram Temple trust
“ Diamond merchant, Mukesh Patel donated 11 diamond-studded crowns, 30 kilograms of silver, 300 grams of gold, and rubies,” Newadia asserted. The items were transported to Ayodhya in a special chartered aircraft.
Patel, who is a popular businessman owns a jewelry firm named Green Lab in Surat. He is known for his religious donations and has been supportive of various religious and cultural initiatives. The latest donation is one of the most notable contributions made to the Ayodhya Ram Temple so far.
Pran pratistha of Lord Ram
The donation was primarily made for the Pran Pratishtha of the temple deity, i.e., the consecration of Lord Rama in his royal form. The installation of idols took place on Thursday, in the eight newly constructed temples within the Ram Janmabhoomi complex and was attended by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
This marks the second major consecration ceremony at the site, following the installation of Ram Lalla on January 22, 2024.
Like the previous year, the consecration ceremony attracted huge crowds of devotees from across the country to the sanctum sanctorum of the temple. Secretary of the Ram Temple Trust, Champat Rai, said that on Thursday the Ram Temple completed the consecration of seven idols.
Rai said that the idols installed on the first floor above the sanctum sanctorum include Ram Darbar in the middle, a Shivalinga in the northeastern corner, a Ganapati idol in the southeastern corner, a Hanuman idol in the middle of the southern side, Surya in the southwestern corner, Bhagwati in the northwestern corner, and Annapurna Mata in the middle of the northern side.
