Heavy rainfall predicted in Konkan, central Maharashtra
Earlier, there were predictions that the weather will remain highly unstable in Maharashtra from Tuesday. According to India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast, heavy rainfall was likely in several parts of Konkan and central Maharashtra on Wednesday and Thursday.
Heavy rainfall is also likely in Mumbai, Thane, and Navi Mumbai. According to the IMD, other districts in the state may also experience rain accompanied by thunder and lightning.
In Ratnagiri district, the Dapoli and Khed talukas have already started witnessing heavy downpours, with intense rainfall and thunderclouds overhead. While the sudden showers have brought relief from the oppressive heat and humidity for local residents, they have caused significant inconvenience for visitors from urban areas to rural regions.
