The department has nominated two master trainers

The department has nominated two master trainers, one control room operator and one master control room employee for the training from every forest division. The employees, who are posted under Bhagirathi and Garhwal circles, have already been given training to operate the new App.

Dates for the training of the employee concerned

The department has fixed the dates for giving training to the forest department’s personnel of different circles. While the training will be given to the personnel concerned of the department’s Shivalik circle today, the date for the training for the personnel of the North Kumaon circle is fixed as November 16. The personnel concerned of South Kumaon circle, Western circle, and the Rajaji & the Corbett reserve will receive the training to operate the new App on 18, 19 and 20 November.

Forest fire is a major challenge for the state

There is also a plan to connect the officers, employees, village chief, representative of different NGOs and Panchayat Sarpanch with the Fire Alert System, developed by the Forest Survey of India. This hill state has 71 percent forest cover. It has become a major challenge for the state government to bring the forest fires under control. This year forest fires were reported from almost every district of the state.
