‘Extraordinary human being’: PM Modi, India mourns the demise of Ratan Tata

Mumbai: India went into mourning on Wednesday night as it lost its most revered and coveted industialist Ratan Tata passes away at the age of 86 in Mumbai on Wednesday night. The Tata Group Emeritus Chairman breathed hjis last the Mumbai’s Breach Candy hospital afer being admitted due to age-related ailments.

Tributes came pouring in for the legenadary industrialist Ratah Tata. Prime Minister Narendra Modi remembered Mr Tata as a visionary business leader and a compassionate soul.

“Shri Ratan Tata Ji was a visionary business leader, a compassionate soul and an extraordinary human being. He provided stable leadership to one of India’s oldest and most prestigious business houses. At the same time, his contribution went far beyond the boardroom. He endeared himself to several people thanks to his humility, kindness and an unwavering commitment to making our society better,” he wrote in a post on X.
