New Delhi: A controversy erupted on Saturday after a viral social media post featuring Tej Pratap Yadav, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and son of party chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, alongside Anushka Yadav, sparked widespread speculation.
The post, which suggested a 13-year relationship between the two, emerged while Tej Pratap’s divorce case with Aishwarya Rai remains pending in court. The post, allegedly shared via Tej Pratap’s Facebook account, stunned netizens as it displayed an image of Tej with Anushka Yadav and included claims of a long-term relationship. However, Tej Pratap denied any Involvement, stating that his account was hacked.
Who is Anushka Yadav?
Anushka Yadav is reportedly the sister of Aakash Yadav, a close friend of Tej Pratap. The Yadav family resides in Patna, Bihar. Aakash, once affiliated with the RJD, was allegedly appointed president of the party’s student wing, Chhatra RJD, based on Tej Pratap’s recommendation.
Tensions flared when Aakash was removed from the post. Tej Pratap reportedly protested the decision, targeting then Chhatra RJD president Jagdanand Singh. Following the fallout, Aakash left the RJD and joined the Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party.
Lalu Prasad Yadav expels son from party and family
In a strongly worded post on X (formerly Twitter), Lalu Prasad Yadav condemned his son’s actions, citing a breach of moral and family values. He wrote in Hindi, “Ignoring moral values in personal life weakens our collective struggle for social justice. The activities, public conduct and irresponsible behavior of the eldest son are not in accordance with our family values and traditions. Therefore, due to the above circumstances, I remove him from the party and family. From now on, he will not have any role of any kind in the party and family. He is expelled from the party for 6 years.”

“He is capable of seeing the good and bad and merits and demerits of his personal life. All those who will have relations with him should make their own decisions. I have always been an advocate of public shame in public life. The obedient members of the family have adopted and followed this idea in public life. Thank you,” he added.
Lalu’s decision includes expelling Tej Pratap from both the RJD and the family for a period of six years, citing his “irresponsible behaviour” and “misconduct” amid an ongoing legal and personal controversy.
