Kejriwal and Sisodia were arrested by the ED in the excise policy-linked money laundering case. They were also arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in the excise policy-linked corruption case. While Sisodia was granted bail by the Supreme Court in both the cases, Kejriwal was granted interim bail by the apex court in the money laundering case and he continues to remain in judicial custody in the corruption case.

Apex Court has listed Kejriwal’s pleas for hearing on September 5

Kejriwal’s plea challenging his arrest and grant of regular bail in the corruption case is pending before the Supreme Court, which earlier issued notice to the CBI on Kejriwal’s plea challenging the orders of the Delhi High Court. The top court has listed Kejriwal’s pleas for hearing on September 5.

The High Court upheld the arrest of Kejriwal in the corruption case by the CBI and directed him to move the trial court for bail in the corruption case.

The court has now listed the matter for further proceedings on September 6, news agency PTI reported.
