New Delhi: The most anticipated Box office clash of the year, Singham Again Vs Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 began on Friday (November 1). With star-studded casts on either side, this Diwali was a great time for movie enthusiasts to go to the theatres to wind down. But, the question is who drew in the most audience? Was it the action-thriller that boasts an incredibly popular star cast with Bollywood A-listers? Or was it the beloved horror comedy franchise that raked in the cash? Singham Again starring Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan, is one of the biggest films of the year. Meanwhile, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3′s cast included Kartik Aaryan, Madhuri Dixit, Vidya Balan, Triptii Dimri and Rajpal Yadav. While both films have contrasting fanbases, let’s see which franchise came out on the top.

Directed by Rohit Shetty, Singham Again collected a whopping Rs 43.5 crore and has been performing well so far. As per the industry tracker Sacnilk, Singham Again showed the highest theatre occupancy in regions such as Jaipur, Surat, Mumbai and Pune. Meanwhile, Delhi-NCR which holds the highest number of screenings capped at 50% occupancy.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 box office day 1 collection
On the other hand, Kartik Aaryan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 earned Rs 35.5 crore at the box office. While this marks Kartik Aaryan’s highest box office opening sales, it did not quite manage to surpass Singham Again. However, it is to be noted that this film surpassed its predecessor Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2‘s opening day earnings of Rs 13.45 crore by a long shot.
It is still early to say which film will end up becoming a blockbuster as both had the added advantage of being festival releases. When the commotion quiets down and people are back to their daily lives, only then can we notice which movie received more love from the audience.
