Diwali Puja Vidhi 2024

Diwali 2024 rituals: To celebrate Lakshmi Puja on Diwali, it is customary to begin the day by thoroughly cleaning the home, as it is believed that Goddess Lakshmi visits only those homes that are tidy and inviting. After cleaning, decorate the house with flowers, vibrant rangoli designs at the entrance, and light oil lamps.

Set up a traditional altar using red cloth to display the idols of Lakshmi and Ganesha, along with symbols of wealth such as cash and jewellery, as well as an image of Kuber, the God of wealth.

In the evening, the Lakshmi Puja begins by lighting a lamp and incense sticks. Offer rice, flowers, and sandalwood paste to Lakshmi, Ganesha, and Kuber, while chanting traditional mantras to attract prosperity. It is common to prepare a sweet offering, such as kheer (rice pudding), for the goddess, symbolising sweetness and abundance. Finally, place lamps throughout the house to illuminate every corner, representing hope and prosperity.

By following the recommended rituals and making the necessary preparations, you can create a warm and inviting atmosphere for Goddess Lakshmi to bless your home.
