DGMOs talk over hotline as India warns Pakistan over latest ceasefire violations

New Delhi: The Director Generals of Military Operations (DGMOs) of India and Pakistan have talked over hotline to discuss the unprovoked ceasefire violations by Pakistan. Meanwhile, India has warned Pakistan against the unprovoked violations by Pakistan Army along the Line of Control (LoC) defence sources told TV9 Network.

The communications between DGMOs came following the tensions over Pahalgam attack in which 26 tourists were killed in Jammu and Kashmir on April 22.

Pakistan has indulged in unprovoked firing along the LoC in Kashmir since the Pahalgam attack took place.

“Director Generals of Military Operations (DGMOs) of India and Pakistan talked over hotline to discuss the unprovoked ceasefire violations by Pakistan and India has warned Pakistan against the unprovoked violations by Pakistan Army along the Line of Control (LoC),” defence sources said.

Army officials said on Wednesday that Pakistani troops indulged in unprovoked firing along the Line of Control (LoC) and the International Border (IB) in different sectors across four border districts of Jammu and Kashmir. The Indian Army ‘responded effectively’ to unprovoked Pakistan shelling, said officials.
