Ranchi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday emphasized NDA-led government’s focus on marginalised communities. He said, “Now the priority of the country is the poor of the country. Now the priority of the country is the tribals of the country. Now the priority of the country is the Dalit, deprived and backward society of the country. Now the priority of the country is women, youth, and farmers.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a rally in Ranchi, Jharkhand, where he announced several new development projects for the state. Speaking on the occasion of Karma, a festival of nature worship, PM Modi said, “Today, Jharkhand is celebrating the festival of nature worship, Karma. I congratulate the people of Jharkhand on the occasion of Karma festival.”

What PM Modi said on expansion of rail connectivity in India

The Prime Minister shared updates on new railway infrastructure in the state. “Today marks a significant day in Jharkhand’s developmental journey,” he said. Jharkhand has been provided with six new Vande Bharat trains, railway projects worth over Rs 650 crore, and enhanced connectivity and travel infrastructure. He added, “I extend my heartiest congratulations to the people of Jharkhand for these remarkable development initiatives.”

Highlighting the broader impact of these projects, PM Modi said, “Expansion of rail connectivity in Eastern India will strengthen the economy of the entire region. These trains will greatly benefit businessmen and students. This will also accelerate economic and cultural activities here.”

The Prime Minister also spoke about the PM Janman Yojana, aimed at improving the lives of tribal communities. “PM Janman Yojana is being run for the tribal brothers and sisters across the country. Through this scheme, an attempt is being made to reach those tribes which are very backward,” he said.

Jharkhand has achieved 100% electrification of its railway network: PM Modi

PM Modi said that Jharkhand has achieved 100% electrification of its railway network. “Today Jharkhand has also joined those states where 100 percent electrification of the railway network has been done,” he announced. Additionally, more than 50 railway stations in the state will be renovated under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. “More than 50 railway stations in Jharkhand are also being renovated under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme,” he said.

He further highlighted the government’s efforts to provide housing to the needy under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). “Today, the first installment has been released for the construction of permanent houses for thousands of beneficiaries in Jharkhand under the PM Awas Yojana,” PM Modi said.

He said that these initiatives, including improved railway connectivity and housing, will play a crucial role in Jharkhand’s development. He said, “I extend my heartiest congratulations to the people of Jharkhand for these remarkable development initiatives.”
