Delhi Police seizes bike after Amanatullah Khan’s son misbehaves, issues challan

New Delhi: The Delhi Police seized a bike after two boys riding it were seen coming from the wrong side. The bullet was also making a lot of noise with the bike’s modifier silencer. One of the two claimed to be AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan’s son, who accused the police of targeting him.

The police further said that when the two boys were asked to show a license, the boys said that they did not have it, after which a challan was issued to them as per the Motor Vehicle (MV) Act. Later, the boys left the spot without disclosing their names to the police.

Delhi Police issues statement

“During the patrolling of Delhi Police, two boys were spotted on a bullet, they were coming from the wrong side and making loud noise with the bullet’s modifier silencer. The bike was being ridden in a zigzag manner. Police caught the boys and one of the boys told that he was the son of AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan. He misbehaved with Police accusing them that they were doing it because he is AAP MLA’s son,” news agency ANI reported.

It added, “When the Police asked for the driving licence and ID, they said they didn’t need it. One of the boys called up Amanatullah Khan and made him speak to SHO. Later, the boys left without disclosing their names and addresses. ASI brought their bullet to the Police Station. A Challan has been issued. His bike has been impounded under several acts.”

Notably, the Assembly polls in Delhi will be held on February 5, while results will be announced on February 8. Amanatullah Khan is contesting from the Okhla constituency, which he represented in the Delhi Assembly since 2015. He is up against BJP’s Manish Chaudhry and Congress’ Ariba Khan. AIMIM leader Shifa Ur Rehman is also contesting from this constituency.
