Over-speeding is a major reason behind road accidents

As per the transport department, a major reason behind road accidents is over-speeding. The transport department took actions against 2625 vehicles for over-speeding between January to September months. Dehradun district registered 435 road accidents till October this year.

Since Dehradun is also a prominent tourist spot, several vehicles enter the city from different parts of the country. Besides, there is a growing culture of clubbing in the city which has a high number of students because of the presence of several educational institutions.
