DC Retention List 2025: Rishabh Pant released; Axar, Kuldeep, Tristan retained

New Delhi: Delhi Capitals released skipper Rishabh Pant from the franchise after eight years as the list of retained and released players was announced on Thursday. Among the players who were retained by the Capitals side, are all-rounder Axar Patel, wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav, South African Tristan Stubbs and Abishek Porel ahead of this year’s mega auction.

At the helm since the last three years, Pant’s future was in doubt ahead of the official retention list to be announced after a series of dismal performances with the Capitals being unable to break the playoffs mark since the 2021 edition. This decision underscores our commitment to building a competitive and dynamic squad. Our management, coaching staff and analysts have worked tirelessly to assess player performances and contributions, ensuring we are well-positioned for success.
