New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation on the 79th Independence Day on Friday. This is his 12th consecutive speech from the ramparts of the Red Fort, ever since taking over power in 2014.

Speaking after hoisting the national flag, PM Narendra Modi said that the Indian Constitution was like a lighthouse which had been showing the path to the countrymen for the past 75 years. The PM added, this great festival of freedom is a festival of 140 crore resolutions.
