New Delhi: Megastar Chiranjeevi made the weekend even more delightful for his fans by dropping his throwback picture from his young days. The actor sparked nostalgia among fans with his post and as expected, it went viral in no time. He shared the picture from his first-ever play, Rajinama and the viral picture dates back to 1974-75.

Chiranjeevi has inspired generations with his humble beginning to now his iconic status. He started with small roles and won audiences’ hearts with his versatile villain roles before he established himself as a hero of Telugu cinema. Despite his achievements, he remained rooted and never forgot the people who supported him during his struggling days.

Chiranjeevi’s throwback picture sparks nostalgia

Taking a trip down memory lane, Chiranjeevi reminisced the time when he for the first time performed in his college play titled, Rajinama, which marked his passion for acting. In his second year at YNM College in Narsapur, Chiranjeevi starred in a play written by Kona Govindaraju. Interestingly, his performance in the play earned him the title of ‘Best actor of the college’.

In the picture, young Chiranjeevi is seen wearing a collared shirt teamed up with stylish sunglasses and a supporting moustache. We cannot deny that the megastar’s style statement was effortlessly elegant even back then.

Sharing the post, he wrote in Telugu which loosely translates in English, “Rajinama… My first play on stage was at YNM College, Narsapur. Written by Kona Govind Rao; my first recognition as an actor. Winning Best Actor was an immense encouragement. 1974-2024; 50 years of an acting journey… boundless joy!”

Meanwhile, on the work front, Chiranjeevi will be next seen in Vishvambhara. The makers recently released the first teaser of the film, showing Chiranjeevi as the saviour of the dystopian world. The film is scheduled to release on January 10, 2025. However, the film is expected to get postponed as Ram Charan’s Game Changer is likely to be released during Sankranti.
