Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu today inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 11 developmental projects worth about Rs 205 crore during his one-day visit to Jwalamukhi Assembly constituency of district Kangra. He also laid the foundation stone of the state’s first happiness-shelter Adarsh Gram Complex in Luthan. The Chief Minister mentioned improvement and enhancement of water source level of various lift water supply schemes in Jwalamukhi assembly constituency at a cost of Rs 38.17 crore, police station building Jwalamukhi constructed at a cost of Rs 5.50 crore, additional building of Government Girls Senior Secondary School costing Rs 2.13 crore and Rs 14.35 crore. Inaugurated the marriage hall cum temple trust parking constructed with Rs.
Along with laying the foundation stone of Sukh-ashray Adarsh Gram Complex to be built at a cost of Rs 92.38 crore under the state government’s ambitious initiative Mukhyamantri Sukh-ashray Yojana in Luthan, the Chief Minister also donated Rs 27.30 crore to the Himachal Pradesh Sub-Tropical Horticulture Institute for the volcanic area. Irrigation facility under Irrigation and Value Addition (HPShiva) project, seven tube wells to be constructed in Bharoli and Jwalamukhi area at a cost of Rs 5.91 crore, Rajiv Gandhi Model Day-Boarding School at Bani-de-Khooh costing Rs 5 crore, Government Degree College at Jwalamukhi. He also laid the foundation stone of a multipurpose hall costing Rs 7.82 crore, brackish drain channelization costing Rs 4.18 crore and the inspection hut of Jal Shakti Department to be constructed at Jwalamukhi at a cost of Rs 2.5 crore.
The Chief Minister said that the present state government is committed to the upliftment of the deprived section of the society. The government has taken many innovative initiatives for the upliftment of these sections. He said that Sukh-Aashray Adarsh Gram Complex is one of these. In this complex to be established in Luthan, the beneficiaries of Chief Minister Sukh-Aashray Yojana will be able to provide better and modern housing facilities.
