Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar on Thursday asked the Chief Electoral Officers of all states to conduct the Lok Sabha elections in a ‘spotless’ manner. Elections are to be held in March-April this year. Addressing a conference of CEOs, Kumar also said that we have solid preparations for a democratic system. Election Commissioner Rajeev Kumar stressed that elections are a journey of duty and resolve. He expressed confidence in taking necessary steps to provide the best possible electoral experience to all stakeholders befitting the world’s largest democracy.
Discussion was held on experiences gained from assembly elections.
This two-day conference is about thematic discussions on election planning, expenditure monitoring, voter list, IT applications, data management and EVMs. Along with this, the conference is being organized to share experiences and lessons learned from the recently held assembly elections.

Rajiv Kumar said that in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the Commission will focus on ensuring the best experience to the voters. Meanwhile, Election Commissioner Anup Chandra Pandey said that this conference is the culmination of the exercise that started with various conferences, workshops, trainings, seminars organized in the last six months as part of the preparations for the 2024 elections.

Election Commissioner Arun Goyal said that this conference provides a platform for team building before conducting the Lok Sabha elections. Goyal also urged all the participants to freely share and discuss their ideas and challenges.
CEO shares his experiences
Apart from this, CEOs of states where assembly elections were recently held gave PPT presentations on their experiences, learnings and new practices adopted during the elections. Earlier, a conference was organized with Election Commission officials and Chief Executive Officers of the state at Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, Mussoorie regarding the preparations for the Lok Sabha elections.
