Centre to conduct Census in 2025; no decision on caste-based survey: Sources

Centre to conduct Census in 2025; no decision on caste-based survey: Sources

New Delhi: Source say Central government is all set to start census in 2025, the process will go on in the 2026 also. The move is also set to change the Census cycle to 2025 now. The news census will take place in 2035. Earlier it was scheduled to take place in 2021, but was delayed due to Covid. No decision has been taken on holding caste-based census. Survey will be held based on the religion only.
