
New Delhi: A 21-year-old Indian student from Telangana was killed in a road accident in Vietnam’s Can Tho city on Wednesday. The deceased has been identified as Arshid Ashrith, a third-year MBBS student. He hailed from Kagaznagar in Kumuram Bheem Asifabad district of Telangana.
The freak incident was caught on camera. The chilling footage shows Arshid riding his two-wheeler on a slippery road before losing control and crashing into a wall at high speed. Ashrith’s friend who was riding pillion, sustained fatal injuries in the accident. The shocking video shows the riders flung into the air.

Arshid had moved to Vietnam three years ago to pursue medical studies. His parents are cloth trader Arshid Arjun and Prathima. According to local media reports, MLA Dr P Harish Babu visited Arshid’s home and met his parents to offer condolences. He also spoke to Union Minister G Kishan Reddy over the phone an requested him to facilitate the repatriation of the body to India.
